What our Clients Think

Jane was very calming from the get-go, she made me feel at ease and comfortable to discuss everything that I wanted to. She has taught me some lifelong skills to help me tackle those low points, not only with myself but also valuable skills that I can instil in my young children as they grow. She helped me when I was feeling vulnerable and she has turned this around for me, I went into my final session feeling energised, positive and happy. I just love her style of therapy and have recommended her to a few friends. I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to take advantage of this service.

Benefits of Employee Mental Health Counselling

The counselling process is like an educational experience. The employee learns more about themselves, gaining new skills and knowledge, including, where appropriate, learning about certain conditions such as depression, eating disorders, anxiety so that they can understand the treatment options available.

Including counselling in your wellbeing provision presents many positive opportunities for both the employee and the workplace, including:

  • Improved communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Improved self-acceptance and self-esteem.
  • Capability to change self-defeating behaviours and habits.
  • More suitable expression and management of emotions.
  • Relief from depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions.
  • Greater confidence and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage stress more effectively.
  • Improved abilities for problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Employee Mental Health Counselling Format

The most popular approach used by our clients is to schedule a series of days with one of our counsellors – we recommend a minimum of four days. This provides six one-to-one counselling sessions per day.

Your account manager at New Leaf Health will act as a dedicated point of contact, providing you with resources to promote the service to your staff and directly receiving all enquiries about the service, to help anonymise the process for your employees.
